If you rent a property occasionally, you can send security deposit requests from your Swikly account by clicking on « New request », and then, depending on your business, on « Swik deposit » or « Reservation swik » or « payment ».

The "swik deposit" helps you protect properties by sending a security deposit request (without debiting or blocking funds on your customers' bank cards).

The "swik reservation" helps you avoid no-shows and guarantee the presence of your customers without making them pay in advance.

Finally, a payment request lets your customers make an online payment.

Then, you will have to fill in the request form with the following information :

  • The security deposit amount you would like to secure
  • The customer’s email address and phone number

If you enter your customer's mobile number, Swikly will send them an SMS to invite them to make the security deposit. SMS can be sent to the following countries: United Kingdom, United States, France, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Algeria, Belgium, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, French Polynesia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia.

  • Interaction with foreigners

6 languages are available: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Dutch

  • Puropose of the request (communicated to your customer)
  • Rental start and finish dates

For a swik deposit, You need to mention the start date and the end date of the rental. For a swik reservation, you only need to specify the start date. These dates are then used to send an automatic reminder to your customer, and to program the automatic expiration of the security deposit (More details on the security period and reclaims process)

Last but not least, choose the option that suits you best:

  • Send the request" if you want the request to be sent automatically by email with Swikly's template,
  • or "Generate a single-use link" if you want to generate a one-time link to send yourself in an email or a SMS.

This last option lets you personalize your message and use your in-house templates.
